Magical warrior Verdant and her trusty sidekick Fang venture into a dark cave to confront the evil within! Featuring original music and sprites.
This game was made for Strawberry Jam 8. The theme of the jam is sexuality, so I packed a bunch of things I find erotic into this game, including:
- Snakes
- Caves
- Transformation scenes
- Slightly unfair level design
- Moddable game content (with a text editor)
WARNING: This game contains content that may disturb some people, including but not limited to:
- Blood (can be turned off)
- Nudity (can be turned off)
- Snakes (cannot be turned off)
See README.md for default controls and more information.
FAQ
- The combat is too difficult for me!
- There's an option to add more checkpoints and an option to make enemies a little easier. Do please use them! I'm not going to go all "You cheated not only the game but yourself" on you.
- Still struggling? There are cheat codes that let you use savestates, if you can figure out how to enable them in the configuration files.

- How do I clear the first room?
- You have to jump up and hit the blue switch to open the door. Don't hold the attack button for too long. This room is practice for the combat later on.
- How do I change the controls?
- For now you'll have to use a text editor to edit the file
save/settings.ayu
in the program directory. In-game control customization is on the feature roadmap.

Hello! This was very good! Such a small but excellent little story/experience. The twists were fun and exciting, the combat felt punchy and the animation/art looks very skillful.
Thank you again for sharing this.
Thank you so much!!!
Really good, its a challenge!
I really think the first mage boss needs to have damage states to its projectiles rather than 1 shot you if they hit. The second stage where she doubles the amount of shots is really difficult, and frankly speaking not fun whatsoever. Especially considering the random direction change the orbs do. Really killed my enjoyment of the game unfortunately.
Yeah I didn't have a lot of time to balance the difficulty of the final boss. The orbs aren't random though, they curve in a predictable pattern. If you set the "enemies" option to "easy", it'll skip the second phase of the fight, so you can see the ending.
I loved it!
Thanks for letting me know!
I still can't get over how much the sounds in this game made my enjoyment go all the way up. And for how difficult it was I thought the default checkpointing was pretty fair. Well done.
Please link it a bit more statically with a bit softer glibc requirements… XD wine works tho, so at least there’s that
Sorry, I haven't figured out how to do static linking with SDL yet, because wherever I look for instructions they say "don't" or "just compile the whole dang thing from source". I'll give it some more looks though. Thanks for playing!
game was fun to play
